I only found my whistle range on accident, I was screaming ( theatre after show tradition) and my voice cracked for a second and then went really high. I figured I could sing there too.

I found my whistle while my voice was very cold in the morning! I know I never should do it like that, but I can't believe it worked when the whistle register is often really hard for me, even when I'm all warmed up. Your words..they work, Brett. It's like you're talking directly to me! And so does this technique, of course. (the vibrato thing for freeing the cords works miracles; I cannot believe some people don't understand that it's not actually how you're supposed to sing, at least not if you don't want to...)

Great tip! Yeah, vocal fry helps you find notes easier when you having trouble, it helps you find your whistle, and it's just an awesome tool to use.

Damn good vid. I already have whistle, but it's wiley (comes and goes and not much control) and I don't practice it. Plus I'm working on jumping from singing baritone to faux tenor. The technique for whistle gave me results in the first two minutes. Seriously impressive.

I did this once and he is the only person that taught me how to do this it was helpful I can totally sing all of my favorite mariah carey and ariana grande songs there not perfect but I keep practicing and get there
