It's not debt. Working Americans pay into for all of their working lives. In past admins, money was robbed from that account and used for other purposes than what it was intended for.

70 million people paid into the system, so it’s THEIR money. It is an entitlement and they are entitled to it. Most seniors only have SS to live on. People also pay into food stamps, Medicaid, unemployment, etc. These programs are safety nets for millions of people. Millions of people depend on these programs.
