I wonder if we will get an inverted horus heresy story where sanguineous was corrupted by chaos, terra lost, and magnus managing a new golden throne, curze isn't driven insane, fulgrim is humble golden boy, angron never got the butcher nails, etc, and the last remnants of humanity are in a webway branching from what was the eye of terror. Golden emperor is still well and able. The orks are now clever acrobats, the eldar look like they rolled out of mad max, the necrons are fleshy clones saved by the still alive old ones, and a swarm of machines are being led by the khatan from other galaxies to snack on all the last stars in this universe.

Should always look around you at the people you’re following and working with, whether you want to be them

Many of the corrupted chapters were not evil, some were merely bitter or tired
Horus was a pawn, Logar might have been truly evil worshiping the dark gods, but most of the others, especially like Magnus or Mortarion, were not evil to the core
