McCulloch Mini Mac 35 ( Rebuild )

This McCulloch Mini Mac 35 I got with a purchase of a few saws for free. I cleaned it and tried to get it running but couldn't. So my friend Brain did.

I believe the chain is way too tight? When u let off the gas and the chain stops instantly like that it's a dead give away. it will cut a lot better too if u loosen it up a little. Remember ideally u wouldn't want the chain to touch the bar at all. The more friction = more energy it takes to turn it. So it's especially important with the smaller cc saws that it's not too tight. U want the chain gliding across a film of oil, as loose as it can possibly be without the possibility of it jumping out of the bar groove. But that's A Sweet saw! I love mine lol. They are kind of a pain to work on but the are a beast of a little saw when running correctly!
