The 60s would have been a great setting for a stratagy XCOM but sadly we got whats the equivalency of falloyt tactics

I'm pumped for this, but seriously live action trailers never quite do it for me.

When I first heard about this game a few years back, I was actually really excited for it. I didn't know anything about XCOM back then, but the setting looked so cool and the enemies were quite frankly very unique. Then everyone got mad at it, and I couldn't understand why. Maybe it was the way a lot of people were treating it; a reboot rather than just a modern spin-off. Now that it's being branded as a spin-off, suddenly everyone seems to be more positive about it all of a sudden. It's wierd.

because you have hundreds of smaller developers who will sit down with the press and show you piece by piece of why their game kicks ass DURING THE ALPHA STAGE OF DEVELOPEMENT, and then the bigger companies will only show you live action or pre rendered trailers and we get shit happen like the new star trek, D3, MW2, Gears Judgement, the list goes on and on.

Why? It's great to see money being spent through different industries such as gaming to film/photography/videography etc... These live action trailers to me show that they're putting a lot more effort in and that it's not just some bullshit game to be chucked into the ether for a quick 'buck'.

A XCOM movie would be very good! I loved the style this live action trailer went. Especially the music and tone! I would love it if the same director of the first alien movie and Prometheus could direct it if they ever made a movie. I can't believe his name escapes, I have like said his name more times than I have said my own and STILL!! lol

Smart idea to change the title of the game, People were already confused over the fact that there are 2 XCOM games.
