I love the way you walked us through the Scriptures to explain this. At my church we're doing a study of the old covenant vs the new covenant so it's necessary to dig into the covenants and learn which are everlasting and which were broken or fulfilled. The old and new testament go hand and hand. You cant have one without the other. The new testament is built on the old. The old testament is the foundation on which the new testament stand. If you take circumcision....today here in America, circumcision is practice by most American males at birth. And we know America is/was - one of the most blessed nations in the world.

Great teachings! Thank you. What you are teaching is truth. I use to not know for sure because of people saying "legalism" Jesus fulfilled that for me". Well if we read the whole verse, first He said I came not to abolish, or destroy. Those Words I could never forget, now I understand. I agree with what your teaching, but took me a bit to come to that understanding. And oh the trouble it causes in some fb Christian groups! But, wanted to thank you for this teaching. The law is instruction on how to behave. How to walk a godly walk. So if you love God you will walk the walk He wants you to walk. Its all connected. The covenant which defines our relationship with God, and the law which defines the walk with Him - are connected. Man fell and became sinful. This spearates us from God. The law was to give and help us to walk in a way that is not sinful. Because sin entered the world there is a tendency towards it. We are in a fallen world. So we need a set of instructions (laws and statues) to remind us how to behave. How to walk. We keep these if we love God.

I actually believe that covenant does mean agreement, and/or pact. But I also think one has to read the Bible and listen to the things God says especially when He speaks of the covenant - to understand that a covenant is far more than just an agreement, a pact or a contract. It is also a commitment, a marriage...and alot of other things simultaneously.

Also, when Israel broke covenant with God the Father, before Jesus - there were blood sacrifices of animals to put them back into alignment with the Lord before Jesus arrived. Also, not sure if you have done a video about this. But when a man sin - he stinks and causes a stink on a spiritual level. Even physically if he goes to long without washing in water - bathing, so to speak. So part of the blood sacrifice and burning incense was to provide a sweet smiling savour unto God. I believe this is also along the lines why there is bad odor with demons and devils and Hell has a very bad odor. Now the question is - why did God set it up this way? I mean it brings a whole new light on why smelling good is a part of everyday dress...spiritually and physically.

In your reading of Exodus 20...the Irony is " If" can mean " since"...He already looks at them as have kept it( because of Christ)...is not God eternal?..thats the everlasting part.

I have a question... you know how you referred to John 14:15 “if you love Me keep My commands.” N also “if you keep My commands you shall abide in My love”

These are things of “doing” right? These are deeds. Ways of life, attitudes etc. Things only WE can do. But they don’t bring salvation. They don’t ensure you a seat in heaven, forgiveness of sins etc.
So my question is, can we also say that people of the “world” who obey His commands UNAWARE qualify for this “abide in My love” promise ?
as in for example we’re called to love one another. When ppl who are not saved practice this particular command, does that also mean that they “love the Lord” ? And does that also mean they will “abide in His love”?
They may not be saved and make it to heaven and have their sins forgiven and whatever, but they will abide in His love. Obviously the love is limited Bcos of the barrier of sin. But yh I don’t know if you understand my question...

Because we know God is a covenant keeping God. Does that mean even if you’re a sinner, if you obey by His commands, (not knowing you’re obeying them... not knowing they’re commands) you will abide in His love but only to an extent ?

I've been told that, that doesn't apply to me, , but I should definitely not eat pork. How does one apply and not the other.. Thanx again

I was with you brother until you went off on Paul. The book of Acts was added by the catholic church in an effort to bring everyone together. Marcion's original new Testament did not include any of these pro moses dogmas.

Question: considering the "rainbow" covenant -- who or what are the two parties: God and the earth; God and the living creatures? Hopefully, as I continue to listen...the definition of the covenant will expand. Listening to the scripture it disqualified "two parties" in the definition presented in the outset. The covenant with Abraham, God alone moved between through the pieces. Then, as we hear the scripture... the definition again, needs modification. The seed of Abraham is great -  Isaac & Jacob (12 tribes), Ishmael (12 tribes / muslim/Islamic); and after Sarah died, Abe remarried and had another 6 sons (?) and now - all Believers are the seed of Abraham. The "Sinai Covenant" is God's covenant with the nation of Israel / with Israel. As you continue, the definition expands... for there is the covenant with the blood of animals, the new covenant (testament) is once and for all - the blood of Jesus. Okay, Now... I hear what the debate was about. Most of the NT is written by Paul, and ALL scripture is given to us to learn from and to get an idea. Remember, the OT gave us many types, shadows, symbolisms; when Jesus came - this is The Word, Incarnate. Our experience is more tangible. Paul is not teaching another doctrine. And, we see Paul is still growing in his relationship with the Lord. Jesus justifies, He Paid It ALL! The Law of Love - encompasses all. When we Love God and Love as commanded by Jesus. As we walk in Love with God...his commandments are fulfilled, the law is fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Two commandments -- Love God and Love your neighbor ... LOVE  is the key. GOD is LOVE.  Amen, search the scripture....
