While you may have heard some buzz around the melodic, cello-infused sounds created by Brooklyn-based chamber-pop trio Pearl and the Beard, for members Jocelyn Mackenzie, Emily Hope Price, and Jeremy Lloyd-Styles, 2015 is the year of Beast. Their forthcoming album will be what will takes your current knowledge of the trio and transforms it into a full-blown obsession with their eclectic blend of indie sounds. Much like the dynamic, flirtatious interplay between Pearl and the Beard’s various instruments and three unique vocal styles (yes, all three members sing, too), Pearl and the Beard’s songs each evoke an intense stirring over your eardrums that will make you feel alive.
