Cheap XLR Condenser Mic! NEEWER NW-700. Deal or Dud?

Musician's Friend is calling April "Mic Month". I did not get this budget mic from that website, but I'll play along with Mic Month! In this video I compare the sub-$20 Neewer NW-700 to the more expensive Oktava MK-219, and I try out the mini-plug cable hooked up to a Lumix FZ300 camera.

Considering the Price-Point I'd say having several of those in the "Back-up box" wouldn't be a bad thing. We all can do amazing things in 'Post' now-a-days.

Thanks for the review. I have the USB version (NW-8000-USB) and think its amazing "for the price", and is OK for most things I want to do.

I started off with BM-700/800 mics. Got an Excelvan BM-8000 that sounded slightly better. You can mod these cheap mics to lower noise floor and to have a better capsule. Now a days, I use an EV RE20...
