I find repetitive adverts irritating, especially this one. I like the message about all the women being confident but how many times do we really need to hear the word perfect repeated. It’s like the team who wrote the lines for this ad lacked imagination.

I have a question Marc Jacobs. They say they are perfect. That means they have no flaws, but disabled or not, everyone has a flaw don't they? Even the prettiest or smartest or most accomplished people in the world have flaws, and so they are not perfect. I don't understand how the people in your commercial can be perfect. Could you please satisfy my curiosity?

A psychologist once said don't tell people they are perfect. Nobody is perfect. If you tell someone they are perfect that means they don't have to progress anymore, they don't have to work at anything to succeed. They are already perfect! Goal setting, improving oneself and completing those goals have been proven to improve happiness. Imagine telling a depressed person they are perfect the way they are. If that person now believes that this is the best they will ever be, then it might even make their situation worse. Instead you should be encouraging them to help themselves and be a good supporter of their improvements, every step. Telling people they are perfect seems to be just part of this modern "woke" agenda.

She agreed. She's more unusual looking than your average person, but she's not a cast member of the film The Fifth Element, like those in the ad.
