The popular Himalayan was created by crossing the Siamese and the Persian and then breeding the offspring. Like the Persian, he has small ears, large round eyes, a snub nose and a sweet expression. His long, beautiful coat brings Siamese style to a short, heavy-boned Persian-style body.

The Himalayan cat we have is named Newcomer. We had her for 15 plus years and she made it to about 18 1/2 before we had to have her put down. But she will be waiting in the cat meadow closest to The Rainbow Bridge for us. <3

We had a beautiful Himalayan cat for 15 years, A neighbor in Hagerstown, MD begged us to take her because they could only take one pet with them to their new place. We already had two other female altered cats, neither one really ever accepted her. We asked her name and it was Gizzy. We knew right away we were going to change her name. While we were trying to decide on a name that fit this beautiful cat, we would call her Newcomer. Like "Hi, Newcomer". OK, why not name her Newcomer. It was a perfect fit.Newcomer was about 3 years old when she joined our little cat menagerie. She went with us when we moved to Asheville, NC when she was about 8 or 9, I think. (The other two cats passed before we moved.) And Newcomer was about 18 1/2 when we had to have her put down. But she will be waiting for us somewhere in the cat meadow at The Rainbow Bridge.

Miiss mine 2.had him4 about 10yrs and he tragically died a couple yrs back and was thinking about getting another Siamese or Himalayan kitten or any nice kitty 4christmas....but I'm not sure if if my living situation now would be the best....but have been thinking of moving and when I do a cat would make the best roommate 4 us.

I am looking for a reputable Himalayan breeder in the NJ, NY, PA area. A breeder who shows. I would love to find a kitten similar to my previous Himmie (RIP) who had a nice flat, round face, small ears, short legs and a big fluffy coat. He used to sleep in a bowl on my hutch! (But I digress) How can find a breeder with type-y litters? No cat could have a better, more loving home, I promise.

Mine is sick I got a Himalayan seal point Persian name beautiful thats on medication for anxiety disorders and now food for bad gi trake stomach issues like she will throw up every day now its under control shes better no more throwing up but this breed has alot of issues I no I had a white Persian for 17years I got him when he was 10weeks old died 2017 very good champion certified fancy association now this one is certified fancy association shes a Himalayan seal point Persian but bad blood line well she was 11mos old when I got her in Iowa I guess yiu pay cheap well this breed is like 2, 000 I thought this was a deal hell no shes sick and this lady is not a breeder she got it from a breeder now im getting her another Himalayan seal point Persian she's 6mos old shes 700 but not certified fancy association because she a home cat what you think
