Benefits of Playing Chess:
- Promotes brain growth
- Increases problem-solving skills
- It exercises both sides of the brain
- Raises your IQ
- Sparks your creativity
- Teaches planning and foresight
- Teaches patience and concentration
- Optimizes memory improvement
- Improves recovery from stroke or disability
- Helps treat ADHD

Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battle field.

Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant —especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.

We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

This is such a fantastic video for a beginner like me. I sometimes get frustrated because everyone is just saying play this or that but they rarely explain the idea behind the moves. You do that so well! Thank you very very much and all the best.

My rating in lichess is currently 1620 which is not that beginner I guess, But this course is helping me tremendously. I have learned chess myself just by playing and playing only, so I think I lack some beginner's basic principles because of not reading any book or having a teacher. This course is helping me a lot with that. Thanks a lot sensei ❤

I have a question: is it necessary to do the gambit to put pressure on d4? Why the white did do pawn to c3 without sacrifing "the gambit pawn"? Is it only to open the left side?
The answer I gave to myself at the moment is the following: in this way, sacrifing a pawn, it's like the white had gained a move in the race to control the center (and d4 in particular). Of course as you said the also opened the left side.

The channel is very nice, thanks for all these nice lessons.

Great effort mr and thanks do much
What if black's Queen went f6 instade of coming back to d8

And is the reason we sac the pawn in b2 is to open the line for White bishop too
Because if its about securing the d4 square we can just move pawn c2 to c3
So ist also yo open line for White bishop or what kind of reasons no matter how deep this reasons are ???

Thanks and love ❤️

Question: at the end we could check mate with Kxe5, leaving the queen where it is, right? Great video series!! Thanks 😊
