Thank you Vanessa for helping the owners pay for Zero's xrays from the ad revenue of this video, amazing!

"Zero, you're a mess! Look at all this fluff!" Zero: "I am a bad, bad boy."

I'm normally a silent watcher, but I"'m pretty sure leaving a comment helps with ad revenue, so here I am. Good luck Zero!

Hi Vanessa, thank you for for grooming Zero, & for paying a part of his X-ray costs in anyway you can, Zero is a beautiful dog, and I hope vets can determine what is causing his health issues. Love Katherine xoxo

I don’t want to be alarming, just share my experience. My dog was in similar circumstances. Becoming weak in his back end, losing weight and slowing down. We assumed it was age but we took him in for a check up, blood work and urinalysis to be sure. Everything came back normal. Less than a week later I felt a lump on his stomach under his a muscles and rushed him back to the vet. They scheduled an ultrasound for the next day. Results came back and a nightmare unsued. Our guy was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma. He had a 27cm long mass in his spleen, with signs of prior rupture. All research indicated that surgery would only extend his life by a few months at most. This cancer is incurable. We made the decision to euthanize him 2 days later as the mass could rupture at any moment and he could bleed out internally in a painful death.

Obviously I’m no vet, but knowing what I know now I would highly suggest an ultra sound. Our guy was 11 years old, healthy as can be. He seemed like he had another 4 years of life left, at least. Everything happened so fast, from slowing down to euthanasia was 2 months at most.

That's so good of you Vanessa.I hope Zero has a good outcome and his owners have many more years with him.

OMG - what a wonderful ending to this grooming video. You are to be commended for helping pay for Zero's diagnostics. I'm sure the owners were over the moon. Here's hoping Zero will be okay.

While I am old enough to remember Nightmare Before Christmas, I was actually more thinking of the actor Zero Mostel (of Fiddler on the Roof fame. Theater, not the movie) when hearing the name. That said, he did turn out to be a spectacular fluffbutt in the end. I also agree with Vanessa in that Zero did appear to be favoring a hind leg, with the end footage out in her yard. Hoping that this was mentioned to his owners.

I had a dog that looked very similar. She was 2 years old when we adopted her. Best dog ever!

Very true my old boy changed from placid to aggressive with others. That is how I knew something was going on.
He had cancer and died just under a yr later. Miss him.
What a gorgeous boy he looks fabulous now. X
