Can Ted and Dave Maze tell the difference between the Mini 2 and Inspire 2?!

Connect with Ted Sim

UPDATE: The inspire doesn't have full 360-degree obstacle avoidance. Only up, down, and forward - no backward or sideways. Also, the mini 2 has better image transmission. Thanks to
Anthony Keane for pointing this out!

What did you guys think of this format? Would you like to see more comparison vids like this in the future?!

The fact that they got one wrong, says a lot about the quality of the Mini 2. That to me is very impressive for $500 dollars

I was recently on set at a large budget television production doing some medic work and was super surprised to see they were using the original Mavic Pro for all of the aerial shots.

I'm glad you made the big point: technique is more important than gear. Manufacturers sell us on gear lust all the time, but anyone can make great footage with inexpensive gear IF they know the gear's limits and advantages, and work to get the most out of it. It may only be 90% of what pro gear can do, BUT the viewer won't know that. They'll only see cool footage and be satisfied.
35 year broadcast pro editor/producer here, and this is one of the most important lessons I've ever learned.

The MINI2 was pretty convincing and better then I thought. I’m impressed by the performance of this little drone! Literary just bought one today!!!

Inspire 2 with Zenmuse X7 and the the DJI 50mm lens is the most cinematic video you can get from a drone. Hands down. The FOV from the 50mm is just insane.

For the price $450 DJI mini 2 is a lot better for me.

I didn't know that I wanted an Inspire 2 but now I do, lol

I'd actually get both, but my wife would probably leave me, I'd be homeless, and probably have reduced kidney function. So I'd get just the Mini 2 instead

The Mini looks better...WOW! Inspire looks washed out.

The Mini 2 probably did a little drone dance there when Ted and Dave got one answer wrong!

The Mini 2 - looks even better on Youtube, then the Inspire... all the nices the Bigger Sensor gives - Youtube Compression says NOPE! :D

The mini may have a more purple/red saturated image, to my consumer eyes I'd rather see that over the dry white shade of the inspire👏👏💯🔥

It’s amazing how capable the Mini 2 is. Especially considering the price difference. I sold my Air and got a Mini 2, i love it!

Video is in 4k
Me watching in 1440p: Yes, the quality is exquisite

Watching the Inspire 2 land gave me some serious Star Wars vibes. When it was lowering the propellers to land, all I could think was "Lock X-foils in attack position!"

Saw the video comparison and I did not notice that much of a difference. So, yes to $550 mini 2!

I can buy 20 Mini 2 drones for that $11k hollywood drone!

Since you see once the sharpness out of the mini's footage, it's hard to confuse it with anything else, it's.. like really tooo much!
