Great explanations, no fake sensationalism "HEY check THIS out" , just straightforward explanations. Everytime I had a question, you answered it in your next sentence!

Dendron is quite interesting to compare with Foam or obsidian

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Bryan, your in-depth workflow videos are massively useful. This channel is heavily underrated, I am sure more people will soon discover this channel and appreciate its utility.

I personally find Logseq amazing. Proper block embeds that transfer over nested blocks are essential to my workflow. They just came out with a Desktop app, and I can definitely see it replacing Obsidian for me. I would love to see a video about it!

Drafts is a great capture tool, you can even use your Apple Watch to capture the audio. It does not directly push to Obsidian, but it does capture for quick captures.

This is great. Thank you so much for sharing!

I had seen FOAM when I was looking into digital Zettelkasten options, but it didn't occur to me to use it in this way. :) I wasn't aware of Dendron, though. But I already decided on Obsidian, once I make the move to a digital Zettelkasten. I'm currently using notecards, because I just wanted to start without complicating it.

I'd like to see a comparison between Obsidian and FOAM, or at least an in-depth look at FOAM.

Right now i am deciding what app to use: Obsidian, Logseq or Remnote.. The only thing that i dont like in Obsidian is - impossibility to zoom into bullet point (very cool feature that outliners apps has). How do you think Bryan can it be implemented in Obsidian or it is technically impossible?

If only Obsidian had the SRS w/ Active Recall!

Is there an advantage to using github rather than using something like Noteplan 3 or 1Writer to read and edit your MD files on the ipad?

I just put all my vaults on iCloud. Since all the files are Markdown files I can then edit the .md files with any markdown editor on my iPad or iPhone if I need to.

why not DropBox? its web client (or iOS client) is nice to edit text files. Perhaps OneDrive could work as well.

Is there a difference between this and using the plugin in obsidian called obsidian git? Or is this more than just backing up your notes to github?

I'm not too technical of a person but do I understand right: I can have my vault on my local computer (or home server) and am able to sync it on to github and every time I sync, it will get synced to my other devices that use obsidian?

My question at this point is, using all of these other tools, where does Obsidian even come into play?

Would you say I'm missing out on something by just using Obsidian + Logseq?

I’m late to the game– but I have found 1Writer connected to my iCloud Obsidian vault super handy. I have an Apple shortcut called “Fleeting Thought”. I tap it and 1Writer makes new Markdown file. I write. It’s saved to my Vault.

A friend also swears by Draft. So I’m going to check that out next.

By the time i am going to be able to understand this, obsidian mobile os released and it is a full fledged app. That is why i am not even going to bother and just procrastinate.
