I work as a bartender, my previous manager was horrible at doing his job. Because of his weak management skills, I stayed longer hours, didnt eat properly, and the worst of all, i was doing someone elses job and not doing mine. Our team had reduction but still the order taker was necessary in the bar. I was preparing drinks and taking orders simutanously.
During that time i was returning home with literally no energy, and all that syndicalism, communism, proletarian vs proletariat, systemic opression stuff was coming to my mind.
But it all ended when he got fired and another manager was hired. I gotta say that this was the best thing my company could ever done for a long time, the work flow so well, i was eating and taking my rest hour peacefully, and even with a short team he managed to get an order taker for me.
I now realise that, even tho some communist ideias make sense, most of then are simply a product of resentment. I hated the previous manager, but the problem wasnt systemic, it was just one person and i couldnt escape his authority, thats it.
Also, funnily enough, the system that "facilitates oppression" was also the same system that made a solution be possible. So Capitalism isnt really the issue here, its more of a human nature thing and communists seems to have a hard time understanding it

Communism is unambiguously slavery.
You are forced to work and own nothing.
That's called slavery.
There's a reason Marx focuses extensively on subsistence and never explains the actual plan by which the population will flourish, simply denoting it as an inevitable "Utopia". Which is absurd to any thinking person. Workers never "seize the means of production" under Communism, they are the means of production, and receive in return subsistence. In a word: slavery.

The part about communism only being prevalent in agricultural societies is untrue. Socialist, Syndicalist and Communist movements were very influencal in the US, France, Britain and especially Germany. Most of those were industrial nations and actual capitalist societies. The reason those movements never succeded in overthrowing the capitalist governmens, like in China or Vietnam, is because they had support from other capitalist powers and powerful militaries to counter these movements.
