English is the easiest language to learn for people from other European countries, Unfair though as it is not equally as easy for english native speakers to learn other european languages, this is for grammatical reasons...

Norwegian, Swedish, Afrikaans and Dutch are easier to learn for English speakers. Many of the words are the same and pronunciation not too tough. The problem is that they are all inflected, but you can't really escape this if you are an English speaker.

"German shares many worss with English." Well, English is a Germanic language. Also easier for Latin since it also uses Latin script, German, however, could go back to it's Runic form. I do find all European Runic languages pretty similar in that they all share almost the same alphabet, some have a few more letters and may have different pronunciation, otherwise just the rune being different for same letter.
