Firebird F753M1 Review

GearBest have sent me another great knife to review and this time I take a look at the Firebird F753M1. My model has some very nice orange scales but other colours are available.

This is the smaller, cheaper version of the Ganzo G7531 or G7533. It is cheaper but it is not inferior to its larger brothers, mine came with a razor sharp 440C stainless blade. I like the orange scales but you can get it with green or black alternatives.

I think the blade style is very cool and the blue thumbstuds and screws set the knife off nicely. There is also a slot on the handle for a lanyard.

These past couple of years, I have found myself favoring smaller folders for my EDC use, and, surprisingly, these smaller folders, being more recent acquisitions, seems to do all tasks that I subject them to, quite well. Nice, too, not having to remove the pocket clip, as I do with my larger, heavier folders, that I end carrying in sheathes. This Ganzo in particular is a true gem. Thanks for giving it a good review.

Just discovered axis lock Ganzos a couple of weeks ago. Now have this one and several other patterns. Terrific knives for US $17 to $21 each.

I did a cutting demo with an idea I came up with. I tightly rolled up some paper towel and wrapped it in cellophane and if the knife was exceptionally sharp, it would slice off sections like salami. But if the knife was dull, it would crush and be very obvious that the knife was dull. You may want to try it. I got the idea when we lost the cork to a wine bottle and I thought I'd try and make one with paper towel and cellophane. It worked too

I just got the carbon fiber version and like it. But it seems rather small to me. What are your feelings on the size?

Mine is extremely stiff out of the box. Did you guys have to break yours in?
