Yes! Another member of "The Men Who Love Trees!" I was just on the 'Tube channel Learn From Masters, enjoying the work of Peter Mork Monsted and Ivan Shishkin. Truly men who the trees loved back.

Halarious 😂introduction to this wonderful informational video. I have just recently been studying how to do painting & drawing negative spaces & shapes in my own paintings. This is definitely a great skill to master. Thanks for sharing this concept!

Thank you so much for simplifying & isolating the shapes of the tree foliage. I recently went to Brookside Gardens to draw and felt so overwhelmed by all the trees and different shapes that I was paralyzed. I knew I bit off more than I could chew! Finally found a wooden bench snuggled against some trees, sat down and drew part of the bench in the foreground with a few limbs of leaves hanging.over from behind. only to discover the pretty sketch book I'd purchased was probably for journaling and not drawing because even my gentle kneaded eraser was tearing up the paper fibers! Guess that's a sign I'm going to journal! 🤣 Now to find a safe sketchbook and go back to Brookside gardens.& try again

Very nice. Almost closing the eyes helps get the main negative shapes for me . Great stuff again. Thanks.

You have a gift for teaching; breaking down the complex into doable parts and communicating the important points. This was very helpful. Foliage is a major challenge but essential for painting any natural setting. Thank you!.🌳
