Fixing a door hinge

This actually worked. My kid stripped all the holes try to swing on my bedroom door. I used the drywall anchors in every hole and the door is back up. It’s a temporary fix for sure but I’m glad I found this video.

THANK you! I have 4 littles and the middle 2 loved hanging on the handles and swing back and forth. The top screw holes of the door were completely stripped through and the screws just spun. Kept meaning to pick up tooth picks but finally decided to see if there was a different way to fix it. Worked like a charm and probably stronger than adding tooth picks

I adjust doors all day long, 3 inche wood screws is my go to, you just got to be careful and go slow. Just watch out because they strip also, golf tees, tooth picks, or just cut little strip of wood with your utility knife and plug the hole. I've never seen this trick and I'm going to try it out .Thanks for the tip and the videos you have are bad to the bone, I just seen 25 new tools that I never seen before and I love seen new Gadgets to make your job easier!

The screws looked pretty short. The builder used short screws like that on interior door in my house. That door ended up getting kind of loose. I put in longer 2 1/2 inch screws to fix it.

You can do the same thing with a couple of toothpicks. Im glad this product works too

Toothpicks or wooden golf tees is what i use

I like to pull the door down and drill out the stripped wood and throw glue and a dowel then shave it drill pilot and it is brand new

Question if the door doesn’t close at all, I did not put my blocks underneath the door. I just hold it up and the door itself is bigger than the wide side of frown the door so what do I do to make it close?
