Well...so eager was I to hear this track that I listened to it on my 'phone, in the van, during a long drive back from a little get-away. My friend was driving, and he had his own sounds on; so I listened to Clouds Behind the Moon on a low volume, with my 'phone right to my slighter-better ear. Didn't catch all the lyric, nor could I look the screen to read them (reading glasses broken so would have struggled to see them anyway haha). Then we had a stop, for some food, so I typed a quick "hey that was great" comment, and put my 'phone in my pocket. The lovely tune of the chorus was already stuck in my head, from that initial, incomplete, hearing of the song.

So...arrived home, carried numerous bags into the house, etc etc etc. Had another listen - this time right to the end of the song, with the volume up, and the lyric in front of me. And it was only then that I understood the song. Not just beautiful, musically, but clever, lyrically. And poignant. And pertinent. I dunno...it's actually a little slice of genius. Even brought a tear to my eye towards the end. A little bit blown away, to be honest - knew your song-writing was different, quirky, original, and touching from the lovely song about your love for your wife: turns out that wasn't a one-off. Looking forward to hearing more.
