King Tiger Armor seems to be real good when it’s made properly

Though I wouldn’t want to get rung like a bell in any tank

Thank you very much, i love these WW2 Tank vs Tank Armor Videos, because its very interesting. I hope you make some more ww2 vids.

Honestly I find these non-pen simulations just as interesting as the ones where penetration is achieved. We've all seen pictures of tanks full of shell damage marks and I've always wondered how those are made.

What an incredible tank, I really wish more were preserved as museum pieces.

Really well made simulation, real tests with the IS-2 proven that in the second or third shot, the shell would punch through the upper plate, not even needing to hit the exact same spot, and the 100mm D-10 could punch through it's lower glacis and armor joints at 300m in one shot

What if to test different rounds against armor with different thickness and at different angles? For example, to start with testing this round against 50-200mm armor with 10 mm step and at angles 0-70 degrees with 10 degree step. This will result in 128 combinations, but if not to simulate obvious perforations/non-perforations, then there will be maybe 32 results. I understand that this will probably require 3 months of non-stop simulation, but in my opinion that will have more scientific value than very specific random situations like this with Tiger 2 front hull.

Now it is time for vice versa, KwK43/71 PzGr. 39/43 vs IS-2 front hull armor :)

Now i want to see an 88mm hitting is-2 front plate

Beautiful simulation! The shell breaking in half is always a joy to see!

Can you do Stug with long 75mm vs KV-1 and IS tanks ?
Thanks ! I love your videos !

Would be really cool to see consecutive hits on or near the same location. Clearly one Soviet 122mm doesn't pen a tiger royal like this, but what about two in nearly the same spot?

Really nice content, don't stop :)

This is so cool.

So if the same spot got hit 3 times would the 3rd shot go through?

in real life, things were different. here are excerpts from the results of shelling a tiger2 from a 122mm cannon with a HIGH-EXPLOSIVE projectile: "Separate snatches of metal in an area of 300x300 mm. The weld between the upper frontal sheet and the armored cap of the ball mount burst on ¾ of the circumference. The bolts of the ball mount were torn off from the inside. The resulting blast wave destroyed the weld between the starboard side and the upper frontal plate for a length of 300 mm, after which the starboard side moved to the right by 5 mm.At the same time, the weld seam at the right spike of the upper frontal plate burst along the entire perimeter and the armor jumper at the starboard side collapsed. installation, the flame caused a fire inside the tank." thus, an IS2 tank to destroy a tiger2 in frontal armor does not even require armor-piercing equipment. and here is the result of firing a blunt-ended armor-piercing projectile from a distance of 500m: A dent 310x310 mm in size, 100 mm deep. On the back side, a spall of armor measuring 160x170 mm, 50 mm deep. The seam between the upper frontal sheet and the roof of the hull burst to its full length. All the seams between the upper and lower frontal sheets burst. The driver's viewing device was torn off. The shell exploded." In real conditions, this is tantamount to the destruction of a tank and half of the crew.

What sort of steel did you simulate? I heard that Germany had problems with its steel quality late in the war. Would you be able to simulate an ISU-152 shot in the future?

The atiger II’s frontal armor is insane

just wondering, do you model the shells and armour in your videos piece by piece?

irl it was recorded late-war that only two to three 122mm shells would shatter the Tiger II's armour

I can't say how funny it is for the first time in a simulation of yours, I watched the backside of the plate absolutely ignore whatever the hell hit the front of it. After seeing countless armor pens on your channel, seeing a failure to pen is special.
