CSEC Mathematics has 9 main topics which are all compulsory. There are two major differences in the old syllabus compared to the new one. Sets are no longer tested in Paper 2. It is only tested as 6 multiple choice questions in Paper 1 and vectors and matrices are tested in both Papers. Paper 1 is worth 60 marks, which is equivalent to 30 percent of the final grade, and Paper 2 is worth 100 marks, which is equivalent to 50 percent of the final grade.
