This would be better suited for low-density walking areas than roads. Low-density walking areas have less foot traffic, and people generally are a lot smaller than vehicles on the road, which means less blockage of the sun to the panels.

I doubt that SRW will stand the test of a highway with 24/7 rolling thousands od cars and trucks on it. Specially the 20 ton trucks will demolish the SRW so that there will be a lot of frustrating road repair and traffic jam
