First of all they weren't on live radio. The show had just ended. This happened on the streaming side which continued afterwards.

These are some of the few people that the show actually pays. The board op and phone call op don't get paid. Engineers in general make damn good money so they're expected to work long hours when needed.

The employee had a personal issue obviously and needed to leave, but Leo needed or expected him to work eight hours. That’s obvious. BUT you guys don’t probably remember years ago when Leo was ‘On Air’ obviously mad about someone he did, in fact ‘FIRE’. That alone was completely and professionally inappropriate, as many real managers will attest to. You never cut down an employee or former employee in the office to other co-workers, much less over any public airway. But then Leo has a big ego anyway, if you’ve noticed from his multiple group discussions. Hopefully the employee will find another job and Leo can justify his stupidity ‘on-air’ once again, once the employee finds the work environment he deserves.
