Last I checked, the only thing that matters in golf is the lowest score. Doesn't matter how you do it as long as you aren't cheating.

For Matthew's physique, it wouldn't be a skill to hit it far. It would be a miracle.

“...its more built for players like Matthew Fitzpatrick and his distances..” 💀

"I could put on 40lb..." says every string bean in the gym that does his curls on a machine and leaves after 30min in the gym

That subtle roast “more built for Matthew Fitzpatrick and his distances” lmao

Didn’t like him at first with his science and weird swing, but I like him now, he is always respectful to the interviewer, good luck to him, I don’t care who wins the Masters, but I will be watching because I love it.

“It doesn’t take skill to hit the ball a long way” is something said by the guy who plays first on the second shot

If it’s not a skill then why isn’t everyone doing it?..

I was never a huge Bryson fan before, but I am now. Awesome response, bro. 💪🏽

His response was amazing. Not a hint of being defensive or offended. He’s come a long way. Bryson is challenging the way we used to play and think about golf and it’s very interesting to see.

Hard work, and he's made himself into a contender? I love what he's doing!

We are all blessed (or cursed) with what we get the moment that we're born. What we do with what we get separates us from the rest. Kudos to Bryson for finding a way to make his game better. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

If the skill is to hit it straight, then why don't the straight hitters win more often than the bombers? The skill is to hit it long AND straight. Very classy response. If you can do it Fitzpatrick, why don't you prove it? Jack Nicklaus and Tiger won by bombing it, and now DJ and Rory used to have that advantage and they all enjoyed a huge advantage. Dominate the par-5s. Bryson's just taking it a step further. Grade the rough if you want to stop the bombers enjoying that advantage - but that will only work if they miss the fairways.

Bryson is growing on me, I think hes helping to evolve the game of golf and hes become a much more respectable stand up guy from his younger days

Fitzpatrick could, but he hasn't, so jokes on him.

This is an absolute class and dignified response, I watched all his shots in the final round at the US Open, his scrambling and putting was world class, well done Bryson

Bryson doesn't have to apologize to anyone. Length has always been a weapon in golf.

Class, Bryson. Everyone on tour, is gifted and they work hard to maximize their abilities. Bryson is doing the same thing. Just so happens his max, after a lot of hard work means he is the longest on tour. Every decade seems to have at least one player who hits it further. But it takes so much more talent after the drive to consistently go low. Keep doing what you are doing Bryson. Much respect for all the hard work!!!

I'm not a bryson fan but fairplay to him for being respectful because he could of easily just said Fitzpatrick is chatting shit there's no way he'd hit it anywhere near bryson without putting hard work in
