Ryan Gosling stars as a Hollywood stunt driver for movies by day and moonlights as a wheelman for criminals by night. The director mastered the art of holding each other's gaze and enjoying what would be otherwise be an uncomfortable silence. Really helped build the film's quiet intensity that's unleashed in the violent sequences. Or something like that.
