Cool video! New subscriber here! As a Norwegian, I can confirm Norwegians drink beer. A lot of beer actually! Some nice breweries here as well, like Nøgne Ø which is brewed in my hometown!

The area where your ship was docked is called Aker Brygge (brygge = harbour). The old buildings at 5:45 you saw was part of the original ship yard back in the days. Today this whole area is filled with shopping centras and restaurants - and an expencive part of an expencive nation. The hotel you are filming at 8:30 is Grand Hotel where the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize usually are staying.

To the right where you are walking at 8:43 is the parliament (Stortinget).

I have been to Norway a few times but always via cruise ship, I know you don’t see the country in as much detail but at least you can eat, drink and sleep on the ship, which saves you so much money. If you go back you must go to Vigeland Park, the have many many human sculptures, it’s truly stunning

Some information, the population of Oslo is not 500k, but 1, 1 million. It is expensive for foreigners because average Norwegians most probably earn more than the average Joe in your country.

As from England, we are definitely in the potato/beer part of Europe. I love that description of Europe. How would you describe Bulgaria, wine and tomatoes or beer and potatoes, (what about the vodka countries)

How lucky were you with the weather?! Amazing day which makes everything look beautiful. I thought Oslo looked beautiful but a bit too sterile for me. I remain bemused by the EV cult - mostly it seems like outsourcing pollution to China. I'm looking forward to seeing the fjords with you.
