"Piers Morgan sat far-right former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and far-left former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan next to each other Monday night on his show, and the result was predictable as the pair didn’t get along.

I'm reminded how Sarah Palin won alaska. She won alaska by socializing the oil and reminding the private companies that their leases were on alaskan land and if they want to drill baby drill they better pay up to the people. An amazing bit of populism that was pure class. Her quote “We’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs.”

The U.S. is currently not the top exporter of oil. It is still Saudi Arabia. If she indeed said it was the U.S. that is incorrect. However the U.S. is currently the highest producer.
