Ayanokoji feels emotions. He's NOT some emotionless sociopath. His mother left him to be raised by objectively one of the worst possible parents for money, his dad practically tortured him psychology for his ambition, and gradually the world lost it's color. No one cared about him, everyone only wanted to use him. He thought escaping would be different but it wasn't. Even in class D the worst class with no expectation people still wanted to use him to reach class A. The whole tool monologue is an ideology he despises bc it's the same one his father has but it's also the one he was raised with. It's not that he can't feel emotions but that he can't properly process them. Ayanokoji is a tragic character that was raised in an incredibly inhumane way with a sociopathic ideology causing him to repress his feelings and view the world coldly and logically cause in his mind that was the only way to survive.
