King is a likeable character that people actually like while Akainu’s character is just garbage. He thinks only he knows what justice is and kills other marines if they disagree with his “sense of justice” he always see himself as a boss (which would be cool if he was likeable) he is such a boring character with no development that even the marines don’t like him.
King is respected by Kaido and Other pirates. He has a cool fighting style. Only shown Lunarain. Actually badass. Worthy opponent for Zoro. Just an amazing character

Imho, King wins this, Akainu isn't unique at all (for me atleast) he didn't get any backstory at all or anything. Only thing he got is plot importance, but he feels somewhat underwhelming tbh. For now atleast...
