This song honestly just symbolizes “Love for someone but the pain of knowing you cant be with them, and you’re both okay with that because you have to be.” Deserved win for that oscar

The music from La La Land did win the Oscar for best original score. They performed it perfectly.

You know someone is skilled when they can where a beautiful mini-dress with those heels and still play flawlessly

This reminds me of someone i once loved, i left him because our relationship almost ruined me . I used to play this everyday cause it made me feel closer to him . I’ll forever carry him in my heart and although i know he never truly loved me like i loved him, in my own twisted way i’m always gonna love him . Life changes and we move on but love stays buried deeply in the hearts of those who were true . Love never really fades away completely. All i think about is what could have been if life was a little kinder to us . I hope you’re safe and happy, i hope you’re loved, wherever you are .

Just rewatched La La Land for the first time in ages. I adore the film more than words can say, but this piece, along with the ending, fill me with a brutal amount of melancholy that I just cannot escape. What a triumph the whole thing is.

that's so beautiful. the music is so beautiful. i think that the beauty in music comes from how broken and battered humans can create such breathtaking and beautiful art. i can't wait to go to heaven and hear music.

This is real music for the soul! The world would be a much better place if only we could tune in to music like this on a daily basis!

They make this look like so much fun and joy. When perfection and beauty comes together.
(Gotta love Lola's designer dress, too. I love the lines in it, and how it sparkles against the black piano at night.) ❤️😙

The talent displayed in this video is just AWESOME! Hauser, of course, always brilliant and passionate and charming. Lola, an outstanding, brilliant pianist, with grace, poise and charm to match Hauser. The Orchestra (which deserves tremendous credit) is also brilliant, vibrant, exciting, rich and sonorous. This all makes for a WONDERFUL and inspiring video!

My only question is WHY is the audience so reserved? I'd have been on my feet cheering BRAVO, BRAVO!

Thank you so much for posting it.
