China carries out military exercises southwest and southeast of Taiwan

China carried out military drills in southwest and southeast of Taiwan on Tuesday. The PLA’s Eastern Theater Command announced the exercises in a statement. It said they were a response to Taiwan and the U.S. “repeatedly colluding in provocation.” A defense expert said it was unwise for Beijing to conduct the drills so soon after the fall of Afghanistan. The choice of timing is extremely bad for the PLA and Beijing. For one, it’s basically reminding Washington that Taiwan is very important. Secondly, for the R.O.C. Taiwan, it’s a reminder to stay united and to value our military.

Also on Tuesday, PLA jets intruded into Taiwan’s southwestern ADIZ once again. The jets reached an area where Taiwan’s Air Force and Navy were conducting their own military exercises. This was the first time that a PLA incursion disrupted a Taiwanese defense drill.

A prime example that china will fight for its land back (Not saying that citizens don't appose this) was in hong kong. China will just keep knocking down Taiwan to till they can't get back up. The war of China and Taiwan is already underway. Right now when China does this stuff in the video they are testing to see how long it takes for them to react, scramble jets, what kind of prescience they bring. Also Aircraft which are really hard to maintain and very expensive don't just have miles like a car, they have hours as their flight time, and each time they have to scramble the jets that is money out of their pocket and wear and tare on their fighter jets. So while not actually shooting or killing anyone, what China is doing is actually conducting active war actions against Taiwan, its just not the conventional way we are used to seeing in fighting.

Taiwan is a part of China because China has 2 parts due to civil war, Taiwan of China and mainland of China. Currently both 2 parts have their own administrations but UN and almost all countries admit mainland China as the country China. Sooner or later both parts will be united because separation caused by civil war should not last long. God bless their early unity.

Taiwan should aim for a political settlement and not to focus on independence. There is nothing good resulted from playing the independence card as Taiwan is too important to China

The u.s is not running or retreating the u.s trained the Afghan people to fight but they couldn't defend them selfs 20 years of defense from the us it was time for them to fight for them selfs an sadly they got overrun it's crazy but this just goes to show you have to fight for what is yours Taiwan is its own independent country an that being said if you want to continue be independent don't let china take your land
