Ibex Dunes - Isolated Dunes of Death Valley

These are the least visited Dunes in the area. Maybe its because you have to drive down a rocky, long dirt road to get to them. Once you see them, you can't drive up to them also.. you have to hike to them. The dunes are in a spectacular wilderness setting, with the Saddle Peak Hills, a cluster of desert mountains, as a backdrop, and the higher Ibex Hills to the north across a large desert basin.

When I was young, we used to go camping in some dunes like taht near the ocean. I was increadable on the full moon. Nothing like being a teen and running around on the dunes in the nude.

I watched your video..about me.and it did make me tear up.I lost my parents at 3 in car accident so i could relate.God Bless you!when i was 14 i ran away from stepparents left minnesota in middle of night in a blizzard with 5 dollars in my pocket and tryed to jump on a slow moving train and pulled my shoulder outa socket but i kept walking until i made it to texas and found some family there then joined goldengloves boxing for what i thought could be my friends it was ok for awhile until i had to face the texas light weight champion.i got humbled real fast but i lasted 3 rounds in the 80s.i ended back in minnesota in and out of jail and threating with state training school then joined army infantry.that life seems so far away now im 60

There are dunes about 8 miles from my house here in Southwest Idaho called Bruneau dunes. When my son was about 10 we took him there and we slid down on snoboards. We lived much further away at the time. I just subscribed from seeing you on Wonder Husseys page. Great videos.

Your like a child seeing sand for the first time! So much joy! I’m envious. Wonder if the sands from the Sahara help build this? They say they travel across the Atlantic and the US effecting weather every year.🤔🤔 I love sand dunes! I’ve found sea shells in dunes. Love love love the rocks!
