"Misty" is a jazz standard written in 1954 by the pianist Erroll Garner.
The song plays a key role in the plot of the movie Play Misty for Me (1971), an American psychological thriller film, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, in his directorial debut. Jessica Walter did an excellent performance in that movie --- something near the performance of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.

Nice video choice for this composition. One of my most memorable rounds of golf was on Harding Park when the fog (mist) was not so thick that it bothered play, but it was just thick enough that it completely shut out the city - you couldn't see the streets or any of the buildings bordering the course. I might as well have been playing out in the country - just a beautiful experience.
