These photos are very beautiful and Precious! It should be posted in every Museum in the USA in addition to the photos being posted by tribe as 1st Nation in its pertaining State so that everyone has a chance to learn of the tribes of their State, and also the educate the residents the original heritage of said State. It is a HISTORICAL document of Photography that should be honored respectfully as the tribes of 1st Nation that many has forgotten or never learned of. I hope many benefit from the knowledge and understanding of a history that was deliberately neglected. With much Love and Respect for all the Tribes that still stands and never give up, you deserve that honor! And the Rights to the pages of History. 👏👏👏🏆😇

I come from Cherokee and Choctaw linage, Brenda could be kin, great family likeness One of my ancestors was Stand Waite the last confederate general to surrender. He was from Siloam Springs Arkansas and became the chief of the northern Cherokee tribe before his death. Another great great uncle of mine swam the Mississippi River to avoid being caught by the sheriff for murder. He said he was innocent. Probably was.

Beautiful people. I have native cousins and friends. Good to see Chief Dan. He was good 👍 in The Outlaw Josie Wales with Clint Eastwood.😊

It seems that most of the tribes don't look much alike. Some definitely look more Asian as the originals were. My Grandmother was 100% Cherokee. (I have several Cherokee Relatives.) None were related except by marriage, but all were somewhat tall and had higher cheekbones and straight longish noses.

I was always fascinated by the American Indian culture. My great-great-grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee.

Chief Dan George acted in LITTLE BIG MAN with Dustin Hoffman and with David Carradine in an episode of KUNG FU. Needless to say I enjoyed both performances!

Oh how I wish the Native Americans could roam freely upon the Northern American land, having never encountered the white man who - for the most part, with only some rare exceptions - brought them suffering. And no, I am not an American. But, frankly, it doesn't have to be North America. Everywhere the white man appeared, the native people suffered.

Fake doctored sexualized photos as click bait is unforgivable concerning such noble people. DO BETTER!

If you have spent years as I have studying the history and photos of the Old West (I'm 72), and known enough of the tribal peoples, you can pick out which ones have white admixture as a number of them here do, (mostly women). Pure indigenous people have an unmistakable look, as do Europeans.

The Dakota and Chippewa fought a WAR over a trickling stream in a revene near my house, in what is now known as: "Battle Creek".
Little Crow's 1/2 Brothers arrested, bound him shot him, he survived. Killed both of them and threw them in the river (Mississippi)
