Thapasu Introduction

Thapasu is a supply chain integrator of indigenous produces of India through value creation for community and bio-diversity surrounding. The main motive is to set up a one stage distribution channel between the rural farmers and consumers, to market farmers' produces & value-added products, and establish a sustainable business model through a farmer mapping framework. We work in collaboration with various stakeholders to bring skill development, technology, and institutional expertise to the grassroots (communities).

Our journey started with getting incubated in IIM Bangalore NSRCEL & IIT Mandi under the recognition of Startup Himachal in June 2018, in November 2018 we did our product soft launch in Pune, Maharashtra. In December 2018, the founder of Thapasu Foods, Amshu CR was awarded the Best Women Entrepreneur by Niti Aayog and Start Up India, in April 2019 we were awarded the best promoter for native Himalayan produces by HIMCAA and Himachal Tourism. Since January 2019 we started our marketing & sales and from August 2019, we are incubated in CSIR Palampur as well, we are also recognised by Start Up India and MSME department.

Our team is co-founded by a Mother-Daughter Duo. Meena HN comes from lower lands and has been practicing sustainable farming for 12 years now and brings in immense knowledge of cultivation, seasons, land trial systems and community working pointers. She has received two Karnataka government accolades and recognition for her outstanding work in agriculture. Amshu CR comes from a technology and business background specialising in global marketing. best women entrepreneur award from Startup India, Niti Aayog and IIT Mandi in 2019, Alumni of Cardiff Business School, IIMB NSRCEL, IIT Mandi Catalyst & Cherie Blair Foundation, top 8 best startups from 100 for building technology partnership with Israel, Recognised by Himachal Tourism Department and HIMCA (Him Anchal Chefs Association)
