Hear, Poseidon, ruler of the vast, deep sea, whose liquid embrace encircles the solid earth;
At the stormy ocean’s dark, deep core, you hold your watery dominion.
Your mighty hand wields the bronze trident, and the sea’s farthest reaches honor your will.
I call to you, whose foam-splitting steeds charge, with briny waters streaming from your dark locks;
Your voice, booming through the roaring deep, drives waves into a furious surge.
When you fiercely ride the churning sea, your hoarse command makes trembling waves obey.
Earth-shaking, dark-haired God, the liquid plains—Fate’s third realm—are yours to rule.
Yours, azure deity, to watch with pleasure as ocean’s creatures play,
To strengthen earth’s foundation, guide ships with favorable winds, and fill their sails.
Bring gentle peace, golden-haired health, and pour forth boundless abundance without fault.

Perfume: mirraEscucha, Poseidón que posees la tierra, de sombría cabellera, dios de los caballos, que tienes en tus manos eltridente cincelado en bronce, que habitas los cimientos del ponto de dilatado seno, que gobiernas el ponto, deruido marino, de grave ruido, que mueves la tierra, fecundo en olas, dador de alegría, que empujas el carro decuatro caballos, que sacudes el agua salada con marinos estrépitos, que obtuviste como tercera porción lacorriente profunda del mar, que te deleitas con las olas y también con los animales, señor del ponto: salva elasiento de la tierra y el impulso de buen curso de las naves, trayendo paz, salud y riqueza irreprochable.
