This will work much better than my method of cursing and going over the same area forever. Thank you!

Of your entire catalogue, this is the single most important video. I felt like this was the technique I was missing

You have a real knack for knowing what beginners need to know that they don’t know they need to know. Thanks!

I've just done my first lot of plastering, 3 rooms and ceilings, multiple patches and even square stopped the ceilings, taping internals, externals even skim coat in area where needed, it's all looking mint even even under light prior to final sanding and your videos have helped greatly.

FINALLY a video that shows you how to angle the tool and how mud is supposed to look! I am mudding for the first time and was so upset and disappointed that I was leaving lines constantly. But after seeing this, I understand that my technique wasn't actually so terrible at all as most of my "lines" were actually lift-offs that could be sanded smooth later. Definitely appreciate that demonstration and explanation of how to hold the tool.

You should have been a shop teacher, one of the best teachers on YouTube.

Ive watched your videos for years and I can’t believe I missed this golden nugget! Super helpful the way this was presented..my biggest issue is this, then clean corners, and slinging mud everywhere when I’m rolling it on the ceiling 😅 you’re the man Vancouver Carpenter thanks for being the most awesome teacher

I have muddled a few walls over the years as a DIY’er and I found this lesson was very useful

Don’t worry about being “too in depth.” Love the info and the presentation. Keep up the awesome work!

Great video it’s really good to see how the mud should look close up. I’ve noticed most of the videos on here (YouTube not your specific channel) are shot from far away and the mud always looks smooth and shiny however what most people will realize when they’re doing the work themselves is that there’s always going to be chatter marks or lift
Offs on your first couple coats. I think there should be more
Close up vids so DIY’ers realize it’s ok to have a few lift offs or bumps and such in between coats. I think that’s a good idea for a playlist do a close up drywall job from taping to level 5 finish if you have the time lol thanks again keep the vids coming

I've watched a lot of your videos and have learned a lot, but this is was hands down the most helpful for me. Clear explanations and perfect lighting and filming. Thank you!

Thanks for continuing to produce these videos. Drywall is one of those mystery trades because so much of being good is due to practice. The many different techniques are inherently difficult to explain, but you seem to do a good job at it.

your delivery is spot on. there is a slice of your demographic that appreciates the detail you provide. what you make look perfect takes a third of the time that it takes for me to do the opposite of perfect. this video is the one I needed to see. makes me look forward to mixing mud. thank you.

I really appreciate your explanation. After watching at least a dozen YT videos on drywall techniques, yours is the first to explain this concept in a clear manner. Thank you!

Love the content.
I've done a fair amount of mud work but never knew the technique. Thanks for sharing - I'm almost looking forward to my next project.

Gidday mate, , Paul here from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia.. Got sick of singing in a band, had wayyy too much time on my hands so decided to make my walls hahahaha, , , Sure, but off way too much but too my surprise no matter how many times I put it on and sand it off I’m loving this challenge and new learning experience. Just want to tell you that out of all the plasterers online, your uncomplicated way of explaining technique, muds and tools was a welcome relief. You actually take the time to show someone, that has NO idea what they are doing how to begin to use the tools correctly, , show trowel angels ect, most others must be teaching people that know what they are doing. Not having a go at them for that, , , but thank Christ there’s someone like you out there for us real beginners, , enjoying it so much more now, .so cheers mate, good on ya., bloody good job, you for a great teacher.
