For those who don't know, this series isn't based on any specific published novel. However, *Dune: Sisterhood (also known as Sisterhood of Dune)* serves as a precursor, although the series is not a direct adaptation of that work. Meanwhile, *Dune: Prophecy* covers the events that take place immediately after the novels dealing with the *Great schools of Dune.* In short, the series draws inspiration from that trilogy of novels and sets its plot a few years after the events narrated in them.

I mention this in case anyone was curious about a more direct and specific timeline, rather than just saying it takes place *10, 000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides.*

At least they're keeping the aesthetic and central theme of the Dune films. This looks more epic than I would've anticipated from the last two trailers. The Dune plot thickens.

I'm proud for Emily Watson. For years, she has consistently give good performances throughout her incredible career beginning with Lars Von Trier's Breaking The Waves, she never missed a beat when it comes to her acting skills. In my opinion, she's one of the most underrated acting legend of all time so to see her leading the Dune series is absolutely incredible. Go Emily!!! 🙌🙌🙌
