Ishida's moment of revelation that Ichigo is also part Quincy, the actualization of the wish that Quincy and Shinigami can coexist was a nice touch.

Ichigo got an Ulquiorra's friendly reminder, depression and another hole in the chest, while Uryu basically turned into quincy Byakuya, his Vollstandig was Lichtregen Kageyoshi 💀

"Our grudge goes back a thousand years. The confined Quincy King waited for the moment he knew would come, while the Quincies left behind were massacred by the Soul Reapers, including my master. Its always us Quincies whose blood was spilled. I cannot forgive the one who took everything from me."

The way that set of lines was written is beautifully deceptive. It directs all the attention to the Soul Reapers while hinting that Ywach was the one who left their people out to dry, in the name of his plan. The "I cannot forgive the one who took everything from me" is the icing on the cake, as it was Ywach who was the direct reason Uryu's mother died. He was the reason why Ryuuken became so cold trying to shield Uryu from the truth. And his inaction and scheming was indirectly the reason why Soken fell to Mayuri.

This is how you write a double agent without blatently having them lie. They say just enough truth for you to pull the wrong meaning from their words, while having them subtly spell out their goals to the audience

This was a spectacular adaptation. Uryu's surprise at Ichigo's Quincy heritage was a telling moment however small. It shows how Yhwach presumably only tells his followers what he wants them to know while leaving them in the dark about other elements of information. To be expected.

After over 300 episodes, we finally got an ACTUAL BATTLE between Ichigo and Ishida

Jugram was the only one who genuinely knew what Uryu was all about from the minute he showed up. Yhwach was chill about the whole thing cuz he knew that even if Uryu was secretly plotting against him there's very little Uryu can actually do in terms of stopping him or delaying him.

The Uryu vs Ichigo fight wasn't just a treat for the eyes but also delivered the emotional intensity that was definitely missing in the source material. Also, Uryu's commitment to blowing a hole through Ichigo was the most surprising thing

Also, I love how its confirmed that Ukitake is indirectly fighting against Yhwach through Mimihagi. Both of them were able to fend off against Yhwach through Ukitake's sheer willpower. This gives a lot more weight to Ukitake's contribution in fighting Yhwach and makes his sacrifice much more impactful.

This anime is scaling new heights of quality episode after episode. It's setting new standards of quality and breaking it after every episode. Amazing
