Pawpaw UK, growing update, Asimina Triloba variety 'Prima'

This is a growing update on the American pawpaw I bought for my parents last Christmas and planted for them while it was dormant. Generally they are very slow to get going in the first year or two, especially here in the UK so there has only been 4 to 6 inches growth, however the leaves look healthy so hopefully the roots are developing and growth will be better next year 🤞. This variety is Prima which is supposed to be partially self fertile. As they only have one plant this might give a chance of fruit set.

I know this is an old video Brett, I was just going through some of your older pawpaw videos. I can't recall seeing any videos more recently of this plant at your parents, is it still doing ok? Obviously, I know it will be dormant right now.

They'll do much better in full sun just need to provide shade until they're 18 inches tall that's why in the wild they're limited to an under story
