Chevrolet broke tradition when it moved the engine behind the driver in the 8th generation Corvette. Just when most of us had come to terms with that, Chevy took it another step further with the Hybrid Corvette E-Ray. Greg Carloss recently had a chance to take this 2024 E-Ray Convertible 3LZ for a First Drive.

I have a base c8, 2.8 secs to 60. While e-ray is beautiful, I dont know if its worth the massive upcharge to shave 0.3 seconds off the 0-60 time. What am I missing?

Two numbers can not simply add up together to get Max HP, as engine and Motor has their own peak rpm

I just can’t bring myself to buy a Corvette for $135K even if it’s hybrid and 650bhp smh. All my Corvettes have been C4-C6 and were generally affordable but prices nowadays are taking the piss 🤦‍♂️

Just can't add HPs between the electric motor and the gas one. The gas one will only produce max horsepower at high revs while the electric motor can produce its power at any speed.
