Transcript: The systemic destruction of Indigenous peoples is not a distant chapter in Canada’s history. The trauma of the past lives on. For Indigenous peoples the effects of systemic racism, colonialism, and erasure are still real. Many are denied fundamental rights that most in Canada take for granted. Words are not enough. It is time for action. We are all responsible for Reconciliation. Reconciliation starts with everyone knowing the truth about our past.
