Chetney embodies the phrase "God has let me live another day and I'm here to make it everyone's problem."

Apparently Travis rolls a d100 after each long rest for Chetney. If he rolls 100, Chetney dies of old age. Closest he's rolled is 98 if I recall.

I think Travis original plan was to keep playing wacky characters who died every few sessions but then Chetney lived and kept living

Travis is learning what Sam learned with Scanlan in campaign one - create a goofy little goofball and explore what traumas made them so silly

Chutney waking up as a lich
„Why didn’t you let me go?“
Ashton:
„I fucking said nobody is fucking left behind! And I fucking meant it!“

I assumed that Bertrand Bell had been intended to be a very short lived (heh) character and Chet was Travis' main PC for this campaign, but having heard him talk about Chet not being that fleshed out makes me question everything.

To remember, it's his character from Liam Christmas one-shot.

I'm pretty sure "a gift and a curse" is exactly how Chetney would also describe his existence.

I love chetney's story being that you are never to old to find your people

Travis really doesn't get enough credit. Every one of his characters has been if not my favourite, at least very high on the list. And especially in campaign 3, which if I'm being honest has been a bit of a slog for me to get through so far, I still absolutely love Chetney. Even the simplest or silliest of character concepts, Travis always manages to surprise you with how great of a character he can make out of them

I feel like "Character that's half joke becomes a favorite" is very much a thing.
Hardwon Surefoot (NADDPOD) is still one of my favorite PCs of all time

Travis just wanted to use up two old characters and now Chetney has legs and relations 😂

When your joke character becomes a real character is still one of my favorite d&d tropes.

I'm waiting for the day Chetney has a moment he's in a bad spot with someone attacking him for being a werewolf... Then bites their ass right before being killed forcing his killer to become that which they hunted

Even though I absolutely love the character if he ever has to go out that's how he should go!

I love how he went into this campaign with the internation of playing as many characters as possible lmao
Like he started with burtrand giving him a scripted death
Then he got to chetney and was like "yea he will die soon too probably and I can continue the joke and make a 3RD CHARACTER" and then chetney just stayed around 🤣

I never thought there would be a better character than Scanlan. Then came Jester. Then I never thought she'd be beat. Then came Chetney

There was one episode where he rolled close right? I remember the look he gave his dice
