Antique furniture restoration with fire 🔥

Restoring this Antique Walnut writing desk with fire, was a lot of fun. Some of my favourite woodworking techniques are with Antique furniture. Restoring French polish, repairing veneers with specialist hand tools and making missing or damaged parts. The processes to add patina to a new piece of wood for an restoration project, include hitting it with a chain, painting it black and sanding it to leave the black paint in the grain and dings, these are then stained to match the colour and French polished.
