I don't understand, in the cancer example the methotrexate doesn't distinguish a cancerous cell from a normal one, right? So the methotrexate is impairing good cells with the bad, right? What does this mean? Same with T helper cells: Just eliminate their function in the body? So if you're on methotrexate you have impaired immune system?

Mike, have RA and take MTX 20mg per week. Also take Leflunomide 10mg daily and Folic acid the day before the MTX. I know what the Folic acid is for but are you able clarify how the Leflunomide works alongside the MTX ? The regime is working very well at managing the disease ; just have an overactive curiosity. Thanks
