I wrote this song about me and my son growing up, about what it was like when I, as an 18-year-old kid, was raising a kid, and how it affected me and changed me into a completely new person.

This is a story about two kids who grew up together and raised each other
You came into this world when I was not an adult and ready to be a father
All that confusing faces that were staring at us, wondering how a kid would raise a kid
But something told me that everything will be alright, when I held you in my arms and felt your breath
There's nothing in this world that could compare with that very moment

I was crazy boy without much perspective in life
I had no goals, didn't know what I wanted
The only satisfaction I had was when I drank
