5 millon of the seniors on Social Security are recieving 1000 dollars or less a month . Most rents at minimum are 800 month .So this is how they are forced to live on food stamps and housing assistance to survive.

Back in the early 2000’s my little brother had applied for total disability and was denied. He called me devastated over it. He had the worst health conditions. He was diagnosed with Smith Cline’s disease. He wasn’t able to hardly function. He told me he was suicidal and I told him to reapply, but he had no hope. He was living with my eldest brother and his wife. It was a couple of weeks later that my eldest brother found him in his van. He hocked a piece of musical equipment for a gun. Needless to say he blew his brains out. This should have never happened to him!! SSD decisions suck. I see people struggle and barely survive to live. 😢

Great video because I knew that these judges were biased towards the SSA. Here is my story. Im a 100% disable Veteran that has not been able to work since 2019 due to my military injuries. I gave my country 23 yrs of active duty military service in the Army and another 10 to the Dept. Of the Air Force so as you can see I have given my adult life to my country. I had several back surguries and after that my body was no the same. I hired a lawyer and we were denied twice right away. I appealed and had a hearing with an Administrative Law Judge and she also had in the meeting a work vocational person that I thought was there to help the judge make the final decision. I told this judge I am always in pain and I cant even tie my shoes but it was like I was talking to the wall. My attorney asked the vocational work expert if I could do any of the jobs I had listed in the application with my disabilities and she said point blank NO! I thought right then that the decision would go in my favor sinse that is the standard that I had to meet. Not able to work. Well, then the judge gets on the line and starts reading what the SSA doctor had said: I could crawl, jump, bend on and on which are flat out lies. The judge just heard I could not work any job and still read everything the SSA said to deny me. I gave 33 years of my life of service went to war and not only that this is not a habd out this is my money that I have earned. I was furious with the whole sham process. Please continue to shine light on this. People need to be aware. Thank You!!

We have to save Social security some how. 75% of the older people I know that are on SS, its their ONLY income and they worked their entire lives...not everyone had the opportunity to go to college and make "big" money...some people just had to survive week to week working 45 years and couldn't fund a big 401K..

I saw where the new approach to S.S. benefits is the consideration of taking away spousal benefits always honored in the past. This will close out the benefits of homemakers like myself who stayed home, paid the bills for my employed spouse who was breadwinner, raised the kids and managed the household.

The president does not have the authority to change SSA by himself. He can make his preferences known and sign bills sent to him by Congress.
