Eastern Fence Lizard (Occoneechee Speedway)

On a wood bench at Occoneechee Speedway in Hillsborough, North Carolina I recently found this small tan lizard basking in the spring sunshine. At the time of filming, I wasn't sure what species he was. But now that I've done research for my site Mark All My Words, I can tentatively identify him as an eastern fence lizard (Sceloporus undulatus), a relative of the Texas horned lizard.
