Also another fun fact: that weird outsole design was inspired by the central park map back when Toshikazu Kayano visited NY for the first time for his work with Asics 😁 not sure how legit that was but sounds cool to me 😁😁

Ah man! This is the one I'd been asking for! On my way to the gym. Gonna watch this on the treadmill. I managed to get EA on the Kith x EX89 in the Sandrift cw. Literally my favourite shoe in my collection. Can't wait to watch this! Massive UK fan BTW. Kudos.

The Knicks colorway looks like the Pistons...which to me makes more sense because the Pistons were more dominant in the 80s and the Knicks were...well, the Knicks.

I have the orange Kith, and Balloholic collab in this model. Love everything about this silhouette.

Completely underrated shoe. I think they are fire. Asics should retro more of their basketball shoes. This EX89s are one of the few sneaker models that I would buy in all colorways. Love them!

This BEST TIME TO BE SNEAKERHEAD especially with all the 1980’s Models I’m the same way Chris. These I believe were retro in the early 00’s n Puma Sky Cat II High Top I do remember seeing at my Local Mom n Pop sneaker store. Congrats on this AWESOME pick up 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I can’t understand why the Converse Mavericks or Weapons don’t get a retro release, the weapons are quite specific however the Mavericks fit right in with the AF1, Superstars and other 80’s retros.

Isiah Thomas wore asics and puma. This model looks good but i think it rivals the new balance 550.

Great review, I scooped the orange pair and the knicks pair from Kith. The materials on those are really nice, if they do other collabs or GRs with that quality I’ll give them a look otherwise I’ll stick to Kayanos and GL iiis.

The outsole is said to be NYC looking down on the City from the air with Central Park being where the gel is.

I think these will be overlooked because they’re not Nikes or Jordans. The swoosh and the jumpman are iconic status symbols. Most people aren’t willing to buck the status quo.
